Filled under: ,

Lots of PC user today just randomly use their PC and think all will be okay. Apparently it's not. So here are some pointer on how to care your PC or windows.
  1. Always use the "Remove USB Device" function before taking out any USB cable from the PC.
    - This also will avoid any type of damage to your USB device.
  2. Scan your windows for error once in a while.
    - This will make sure your windows is in a good shape to process any type of work it require.
  3. Defrag your hard disk once in a while.
    - This will make sure your windows is in top performance to process all data. Thus, giving you fast speed data processing.
  4. If your windows hang or stuck, use Power button to turn off your PC.
    - Most people use the Reset button but not many knows it can harm your hard disk.
  5. Close any unused program in the Taskbar.
    - This should free some of the memory that your PC use and give it a bit of boost for the performance.
  6. Use proper antivirus to block and protect your PC from getting any malware, spyware and virus infection.
    - Please note that free antivirus will not fully protect your PC. Recommended to use the popular antivirus since lots of people using it, it will get tons of fixes and the latest updates.
  7. Clean the dust inside your PC at least once every 6 months.
    - The first place to clean is the processor heatsink & fan. Dust that gather on the heatsink will block the heatsink from getting proper cool air to cool down the processor. If the processor get more hot than normal, it will drop the performance and might damage the processor itself. Same goes for other hardware too.
  8. Avoid placing your PC at any compact places.
    - PC need an open air space where it can get cool air to cool down the hardware inside specially the processor, hard disk and graphic card. If you want to put the back of your PC next to the wall, install the side cooling fan on your PC to give it a proper air ventilation.
Conclusion:-
For me a PC is like a car. The way we use and took care of it will determine the speed and its performance.
