How To Put Custom Sub Domain In Blogger With cPanel

Filled under: ,

So if you are here, you probably had a same problem as me. You can't find any help on the net on how to put custom sub domain to your Blogger using cPanel.  I had to ask my hosting company for help since all the guide I've found were so confusing. Here I will show you step by step on how to do it.
There are 3 steps for you to do which are "Creating Sub Domain", "Redirecting Your Domain To Blogger" and "Update Your Blogger Settings".

Creating Sub Domain With cPanel
  1. Login to your cPanel account.
  2. Go to "Domains" menu.
  3. Click on "Subdomains".
  4. Fill in 'a' and choose the domain in 'b'. For 'c' it will auto fill once you have done with 'a'.
  5. Click 'Create'. It going to take a while for the sub domain to be register on the net. It will be done when your hosting company finished the daily server restart. Usually I created my sub domain when I go to sleep. When I woke up my sub domain are ready.
Redirecting Sub Domain To Blogger
  1. in cPanel, go to "Domains" menu.
  2. Click on "Advanced DNS Zone Editor".
  3. Okay, here you will have to make 4 different ip do redirect your sub domain to your Blogger.
  4. Use this guide to fill in the details.

    a) Name: this is your sub domain address (ex:support.hypentech.com)
    b) TTL: if you don't know what this for, don't change it. Default should be 14400.
    c) Type: choose A
    d) Address: 216.239.32.21 / 216.239.34.21 / 216.239.36.21 / 216.239.38.21
  5. Click 'Add Record' button.
  6. Repeat the 'Add record' steps again with other provided ip that I've showed above.
*You will have to do 'step 4' four times which mean you will have 4 same settings with 4 different ip in the 'Address'.

Update Your Blogger Settings
  1. Login to your Blogger account.
  2. In the menu, click on 'Settings'.
  3. In the sub menu, click on 'Publishing'. Then click on the 'Custom Domain' link.
  4. Insert 'Your Domain' with your sub domain address, Choose 'no' in 'Choose a missing file host?' and fill the  'word verification'.
  5. Click 'SAVE SETTINGS'.
Once all done, go to your blog and you will notice that your blog address have change to your sub domain address.

Good Luck & Have Fun~~~\(^_^)/
